Recruitment Training in the Food Industry at Atria in Sölvesborg
Atria Sverige AB/LagerbergsBlekinge län, Sölvesborg
Atria in Sölvesborg is looking for individuals who want to train and work in the food industry.
Atria, in collaboration with the Employment Service and the training provider Astar, is now offering a recruitment training program lasting 12 weeks, starting on March 16 and concluding on June 5. The training prepares you for work and employment in all departments at Atria, namely the slaughter and cleaning department, packaging, and butchering.
Theoretical and practical elements will alternate during the training. You will study subjects including food hygiene, food knowledge, ergonomics, work environment, and safety at the training provider Astar's facilities in Kristianstad. The workplace-based learning will take place at Atria's production facility in Norje, located outside Sölvesborg.
Upon successful completion of the training, you will initially be offered a fixed-term employment from June 8 to August 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension.
You will work in an industrial environment, on a production line, and with some repetitive tasks. Working with slaughter, cleaning, and butchering is not for everyone. If you find it uncomfortable to be present during the killing or are sensitive to seeing blood, this is not the job for you.
The recruitment training is full-time and is aimed at those who:
- are completely unemployed and registered with the Employment Service
- can speak and understand Swedish in work situations and in daily life. This is an absolute requirement due to safety for you and your colleagues
- have a driver's license and access to a car to get to the workplace. Public transport does not fit with the working hours.
- can work shifts with the following working hours:
Slaughter and cleaning, 04:24-13:00 one week and 12:54-21:30 the next week.
Butchering: 2-shift 06:30-15:06 one week and 15:00-23:36 the next week.
Packaging: 2-shift, 06:00-14:36 one week and 14:30-23:06 the next week.
The work is mainly performed in 2-shifts, but start and end times may vary depending on the needs of the business.
Information about the application:
If you proceed, you will be invited to an initial information meeting with shorter individual interviews on Wednesday of week 8, and the next step in the process will be another interview with the employer in week 9.
Atria's seven factories are spread from Norje outside Sölvesborg in the south to Sköllersta in the north. There, inspiring and flavorful food is produced under brands such as Lönneberga, Sibylla, Lithells, Arbogapastej, Gooh, and Ridderheims.
